On One Tree Hill’s “Life Is Short” episode, Dan and Deb argue about his wanting to attend Jamie’s birthday while Brooke and Peyton try to adjust to having a child around.

Jamie is celebrating his fifth birthday and what he wants only two things: a Wii and Grandpa Dan’s presence. Dan drops by at the basketball court and tells Nathan he wants to come to the party. As usual, Nathan hurts Dan by rejecting his idea. Nathan won’t allow him to attend even though Jamie wants to see Dan there.

Skills asks for Peyton’s help in finding a Wii. He confides to Peyton about feeling that Nathan and Haley don’t want him around anymore after Jamie was kidnapped. Skills is intent on buying Jamie’s request so the Scott family will see how much he loves Jamie and hopefully, they will forgive him.

Deb hires a clown named Bucko and flirts with him at the party. Brooke, Peyton and Angie comes in. Angie starts crying and the two have to tend to her again. When it’s time for Jamie to blow out his candles, Lindsey arrives, putting Lucas in an awkward situation. Lucas invites Lindsey to his place and she agrees to stop by once the party is over.

Meanwhile, Millicent is having a hard time living with Mouth because of the presence of Junk and Fergie. She realizes things would be better if she acts like them so she offers beer, pizza and squirting guns to her new housemates.

Back at the party, Dan knocks on the door and is answered by Deb. He says she looks awful. Deb asks him to leave. Dan says he just wanted to wish Jamie a happy birthday. Deb replied it would be happier if he wasn’t there. As the argument becomes heated, Bucko the clown saves the day and intervenes. Dan is left with no choice but to just drop by the gift and leave without showing his face to his grandson. Later on, Deb makes out with Bucko and gets caught by Haley.

Peyton says sorry to Lindsey but Lindsey tells her it wasn’t her fault. Skills also apologizes to Nathan and Haley for being irresponsible during the wedding. Jamie opens his presents delightfully.

Lindsey goes to Lucas’ and picks up her things and makes it clear that they won’t be getting back as she leaves the key to Lucas and walks out of his house and out of his life.

The episode ends with Dan handing over his will to Nathan and telling him he has only six months to live. Nathan doesn’t react.

In the last episode of One Tree Hill, fans and viewers were shown a number of flashbacks, which revealed that Lucas still has feelings for Peyton. Nathan and Haley hired a sexy, young chick as their son, Jamie’s nanny, and lately she’s becoming obnoxiously motherly to Jamie. Mouth (Lee Norris) was still having an affair with his boss, who is another obnoxious woman, but it seems that for Mouth, she is totally hot. Haley was still pursuing her efforts to help out a young, cocky student named Quentin, and Brooke’s mother, Victoria stepped her Prada shoes all over Brooke’s pride.

Tonight’s episode features little Jamie having nightmares about having grand daddy Dan, who is locked up in prison. Peyton, on the other hand, heads to her old house and find a new occupant named Molly, who’s totally nosy and knows that Peyton and Lucas used to be together.

Meanwhile, Mia attempts to impress Victoria and Haley at the music studio, but Victoria tells her that she totally sucks and that the whole enterprise is a huge waste of money. Later, Peyton arrives to find Haley and Lindsey hanging out, thus putting an awkward strain on her. Lindsey then hears Peyton talking behind her back because a switch was accidentally flipped in the control booth.

Mouth’s co-workers ask for his help to talk to the big boss. He then heads to Clothes Over Bro’s to buy her a gift, but does not like the idea of being considerate to her employees.

And the spoiler clip comes in with Nathan in the pool and Jamie jumping in. Then Carrie reveals her skimpy bikini while Haley watches them, obviously angry. The next day, Haley tells Carrie not to wear such things as Jamie is too young to comprehend breasts.

While Brooke and Victoria are having mother and daughter conversations, Lucas confronts Peyton about why she talked behind Lindsey’s back. Peyton replies that she’s just stressed about a lot of things.

Meanwhile, Victoria and Brooke get into a conflict and Peyton tries to stand up for Brooke. Victoria just shuts Peyton up by saying “You look like you never had a mother.”
